THREE DAYS
151 Miles
NOVEMBER 27-30th
Operation Iron Ruck is a 151-mile ruck between the University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa, AL and the Auburn University campus in Auburn, AL. The ruck ends at the stadium of the home team each year. For the safety of our participants, the route was chosen to reflect the quickest, safest, non-interstate path.
If you see us on the route, we encourage you to talk with us, walk with us and join us in raising awareness of the rising suicide epidemic among the veteran population.
The three-day ruck can be a big time commitment, especially when it means being away from family on Thanksgiving. Each year during the ruck, we break for six hours to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together as a team. This year, Thanksgiving dinner will be held at Marbury High School in Deatsville, AL.
